To the General Assembly/Social Justice community,
Deeply concerned that gangs are affecting many people in different communities in Chicago, Realizing that many people are affected by gangs especially the young adults, Encouraging that all people living in the community act in a safe and precautious manner, also encouraging young adults to finish their education to stay off of streets and avoid danger, Affirming that the police enforce laws that protect our community members from gang intimidation and violence so that the gang violence rate can decrease, Stressing that many people in the community can not be comfortable due to the violence and the danger to them or their children.
Taking into account that many are concerned and that change for safety can and will occur, 1. Proposes a bill that will do something against gangbangers in our community. Also that the gangbangers won't be outside in the streets as much if gangbangers in streets law enforcement should act up to it and give warning following arrest; 2. Applauds the residents that do want a change should speak up and have their voice heard; 3. Suggests making the residents feel more safe and working together to make a change so that people won’t be scared to walk go to parks etc. in their communities.; 4. Demands better changes in the community so that their won’t be so much violence opening up events for gang member to get help and helping people to stay off the streets and finish their education; 5.Expresses the safety of the people and for them to feel more comfortable and not feel like they are in risk of danger and for them not be afraid of where they live.
